Rip DVDs (IFO, MPEG, VOB files) to AVI (DivX. Xvid MPEG4), Video CD MPEG1, Super Video Video CD MPEG2 formats and using AC3 sound encoders with WinXMedia DVD Ripper. You can keep aspect ratio or you can use pan & scan, letterbox or medium resizing. Output files can vary from 74 or 80 min VCD to 74 or 80 ISO data CD.

Pluses: You can preview the files in the inbuilt player.

Drawbacks / flaws: There is no option for Pause/Resume DVD ripping. In case ripping is stopped, you need to restart the whole process. The output format array is not satisfying, since you cannot rip to ASF video or extract audio from DVD files. In case you want to rip DVDs to AVI, you need to select a video codec in the Options section, since there isn't any set by default as it is for ripping to MPEG 1 and 2.

In conclusion: A common DVD ripping tool for those who do not need advanced ripping functions, quite poor in features, compared to other rippers such as Xilisoft DVD Ripper.
